I need a quantity method of data collection. For example I have students with an online typing program and I'd prefer to type a number (e.g. 18 words per minute) in rather than hit the frequency button the right number of times times. Additionally the student would only be able to work on typing once per day because the frequency counter would continue to go up. Rate also would require attention away from the student to make sure I only ran the counter for the 1 minute typing test. This data collection would also be good for my students working on math fluency (number of completed addition problems in a minute) and then I could type in the % correct (e.g. 37 problems completed, 23 correct = 62%).
